Description

Siskiyou Pink Gaura

General Information

Siskiyou Pink Gaura is a cultivar of a native wildflower.  It is a beautiful and long blooming plant that would fit in well with many areas of your landscape.  Small, textured leaves with a dark green color form a mound, comprising the base of the plant.  The tiny, four petaled pink flowers sit atop thin stems that tend to lean over a little.  As the flowers age, they generally turn a darker reddish-pink color.  The flowers tend to move around in the wind, with their position on the thin stems, creating something of a dancing effect that adds to the overall appearance of the plants.

Additional Information

Gaura lindheimeri ‘Siskiyou Pink’ grows to a height of 16 to 20 inches with a spread of 12 to 15 inches.  It is recommended for climate zones 5 to 9.  It likes to grow in full sun to partial shade.  Siskiyou Pink likes to grow in a variety of soils with low to average water needs.   Flowers appear from early summer to early autumn.  Has deer resistant qualities.
