Emerald Blue Phlox

General Information

Emerald Blue Phlox forms a carpet of green foliage covered with a stunning display of delicate, lavender-blue flowers. Beautiful flowers from spring to summer.  Excellent, spreading ground cover. Use along path edges, tops of retaining walls and bed edges. Provide ground cover on hillsides.  Good choice for rock gardens. Cut back in early summer to encourage continued blooms.  Great low maintenance plant.

Additional Information

Phlox subulata ‘Blue Emerald’ grows best in Full Sun.  It will grow 4 to 6 inches tall with a spread of 12 to 18 inches. Plant in zones 2 to 9. Attracts butterflies. Deer resistant. Water regularly until established.  Drought tolerant once established.

Care & Shipping Notes

Easy to grow in average, well drained soil. Sheer after blooming to promote denser foliage. Can be divided every 2-3 years. No serious insect or disease problems. NOT AVAILABLE FOR SALE IN THESE US STATES AND TERRITORIES: AK, HI, GM, PR, VI. Also, WE NO LONGER SHIP TO CALIFORNIA due to Department of Ag restrictions on live plants.
