General Information
Pompeii Plum Tomato is a great choice for your vegetable garden. These Italian Plum tomato seeds are an exclusive offering from Renees Gardens seed company. These will be tall, 5 to 6 feet, heavily bearing tomato plants. They will require a cage or some form of supports. These plants have the added benefit of being resistant to some common tomato diseases. The Pompeii tomatoes an elongated plum shape. They have a rich flavor and meaty texture. These tomatoes are great for fresh eating or for making tomato sauce. Each of the seed packets will weigh .15 grams, containing 40 to 50 seeds.
Additional Information
Tomato seeds are typically best started indoors, around 6 to 8 weeks before nighttime temperatures remain above 50 degrees. They can be safely transplanted from April to June in most all areas. These tomato plants should be planted 3 feet apart to allow for full growth. They will begin to produce a harvest approximately 75 days from transplanting.
