Lemon Cucumber

General Information

Lemon Cucumbers would be a great addition to your vegetable garden!  These heirloom seeds from Renees Gardens will produce a great crop of cucumbers.  The vines will produce an abundant crop of tennis ball sized fruits.  They are usually 3 to 4 inches tall and wide.  They are very light greenish-white to yellow in color, with darker yellow stripes.  They can tend to be better if picked before they are deeper yellow.  They have a sweet, mild taste and crisp texture.  They can be eaten fresh or in salads or even used for pickles.  These plants tend to do best if trained on a trellis or some sort of supports.  This seed packet will weigh 1 gram, containing 35 to 40 seeds.

Additional Information

Lemon Cucumbers seeds tend to grow best when nighttime temperatures are above 50 degrees.  Typically they should be planted April to June, depending upon your area.  The seeds are usually planted 1 inch deep in groups of two or three.  They should be thinned to the strongest vine, once emerged.  The seeds most usually germinate in 5 to 10 days.  Lemon Cucumbers will reach maturity in approximately 60 days.
