General Information

Mars Landing Kale is a great choice for your vegetable garden.  This special variety of kale comes from Renees Gardens seed company.  This kale has a good number of great qualities.  The leaves are larger in size, with deeply cut edges.  These leaves will develop a bronze-purple-maroon color, with light green undersides.  The leaves are tender in texture, with a mild nice overall flavor.  They hold their nutritious flavor over a nice period of time.  It is great for use in salads, soups, stews or a variety of other uses.  The seed packet weighs 1.25 grams and contains approximately 360 seeds.

Additional Information

Mars Landing Kale can be started indoors or directly planted in the garden.  It can withstand some cooler temperatures. It is best to plant from February to May for spring crops and August to September for fall harvest.  The plants should be 10 to 12 inches apart, to be able to reach full maturity.  The plants will typically reach maturity in approximately 50 days.
