Description
Ruby Tears Crabapple
General Information
Ruby Tears Crabapple is a beautiful tree that would look great in many different areas of your landscape. The interesting form of this tree and its small size really make it a standout. The tree is much wider than it is tall, giving it an interesting weeping appearance. In the spring, this tree is covered in beautiful blossoms. The flowers are light to dark pink in color, forming in clusters. They grow all along the weeping branches, taking the flowers nearly to the ground. After the flowers, bright red fruits form, lasting from fall through the early winter. The foliage of this tree is also quite interesting. It emerges burgundy red in the spring, maturing to green with a burgundy tint in the summer. In the fall they take on a great deep red color.
