Kansas Peony

General Information

Kansas Peony is a beautiful shrub that will work well in many different areas of your landscape.  Deciduous shrub that will begin to leaf out and show signs of growth early in the growing season.  The foliage is a medium-green with a glossy appearance.  It grows densely, providing a great backdrop for the flowers.  Strong flower stems hold these large flowers upright for a beautiful mid to late springtime blooming display.  The full double flowers are a bright deep pink color, and last for a good season.   These peonies are great for cut flower arrangements.

Additional Information

Paeonia ‘Kansas’ grows to a height of 18 to 24 Inches, with a spread of 2 to 3 feet.  It is recommended for climate zones 4 to 8.  It grows best in full sunlight.  Kansas Peony does its best in rich, well drained soils with at least average amounts of moisture.  Foliage can be pruned back in the fall.  Spent blooms can be removed to maintain best appearance.
