Description

Marquette Grape

General Information

Marquette Grape is a nice fruiting plant. The vines will have a largely upright form, growing with a moderate vigor. The vines will produce attractive deep green foliage. The grapes will ripen to blue-black in color, typically early to mid September. The Marquette Grapes are great for wine making purposes. They are nice and sweet, and can be eaten fresh, but they do have seeds. This grape is self pollinating, but can produce more if planted with another variety. This is a great choice for your orchard!

Additional Information

Vitis ‘Marquette’ will be 4 to 10 feet tall, with a width of 8 to 10 feet. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 8. Marquette Grape will grow and produce best in full sunlight conditions. It will do well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
