Aurora Honeyberry

General Information

Aurora Honeyberry is a fruit producing shrub. It will have a rounded overall growth habit. This honeyberry will have attractive grey-green leaves. They will give the plant an attractive appearance through the growing seasons. The plant will have tubular white flowers, followed by berries typically late May to early June. The berries similar in appearance and taste to blueberries, with an elongated shape. They are great for fresh eating, jams, jellies and a variety of baking uses. The Aurora Honeyberry will produce fruit on its own, but may pollinate better with Borealis or Tundra honeyberries planted nearby.

Additional Information

Lonicera caerulea ‘Aurora’ will be 3 to 4 feet tall, with a similar width. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 3 to 8. Aurora Honeyberry will tend to do best in full sunlight conditions. It does well with average amounts of moisture in well draining soils.
