General Information
Delightful orange poppies native to California. Very nice feathery, fern-like grey green foliage. The flowers are large in size, with an open habit and silky appearance. They are a bright, cheerful orange in color, with a golden center eye. These flowers are perfect for hot, dry areas that other plants find difficult to grow in.
Planting & Packaging Information
Eschscholtzia californica grows to a height of 12 to 15 inches. Before planting, the chosen area should be cleared and soil should be lightly worked for planting. The canister covers an area of 600 to 700 square feet. The seeds should be covered with approximately 1/4 inch of soil and watered lightly. Although they do well in difficult conditions, the best flowering occurs with regular watering. Great for cut flower purposes. Annual plant, but if seed pods are left, reseeding may occur the following year.
