General Information
Liberty Apple fruit has a yellow background with attractive red overtones, a crisp white flesh, and a harmonious sweet-tart taste. Has a McIntosh aroma with a crisp, juicy flavor essence. Perfect for fresh eating, cooking, canning, or keeping- proper storage improves the taste! Ripens Sept-Oct. One of the most disease resistant apples ever developed!
Additional Information
Low maintenance due to its resistance to apple scab, fireblight, powdery mildew and cedar-apple rust. Not self fertile, suggested pollinators include Cortland or Starkspur. Matures to 12′ with a 10′ spread. Very productive, so keep about 3” between each fruit. Zone 4-7.
