Description

Hameln Dwarf Fountain Grass

General Information

Arching green leaves grow in an upright clump on the Hameln Dwarf Fountain Grass.  Silvery white spikes of bottlebrush like flowers emerge from the foliage. As they mature and dry they turn buff or tan.  ‘Hameln’ refers to the German town of Hamelin which is famous for the folk tale of the Pied Piper. Good winter interest. Great choice for a ground cover.  Use Hameln Dwarf on hills and ditches to prevent soil erosion. Use as a specimen plant for small areas. Plant in mass for a border front or along streams and ponds.  Add extra texture, color and contrast to your home or rock garden.
