General Information
Chocolate Shogun Astilbe is a perennial plant. It is a densely growing astilbe, rounded in form with flowers held above the foliage. This Astilbe is a great choice for adding a burst of color to shady areas. The leaves will be purple-brown in color, with a glossy appearance. This will give the plant a very nice look through the growing seasons. Chocolate Shogun Astilbe will have large bright pink flower plumes. They will bloom in abundance in mid to late summer.

Astilbe arendsii ‘Chocolate Shogun’ will be 20 to 24 inches tall, with a width of 18 to 20 inches. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 3 to 8. Chocolate Shogun Astilbe will grow well in part to full shade conditions. It will do well with consistent moisture in well drained soils.
