General Information
Sparkling Sapphires False Indigo is a compact plant that fits well in many different spaces and as an accent to a large variety of other plants. The plants grow in a mounded habit with ovate green leaves. On spikes that appear above the mound of the plant, many violet-blue flowers appear in late spring and early summer. Seed pods appear after the flowers, adding fall interest to the plant.

Baptisia ‘Sparkling Sapphires’ grows 2.5 to 3 Feet tall and wide. It grows best in full sun, but can tolerate a little shade. It is recommended for climate zones 4 to 9. Average, well drained soil is needed. Becomes somewhat drought tolerant once established. Beautiful flowers are great for flower and dried flower arrangements. Attracts Butterflies.
