Red Yucca

General Information

Red Yucca is a great plant that will work well in different areas of your landscape.  This plant is ideal for dryer landscape areas, providing a great spot of color where it may not usually occur.  The plant grows into a high, broad spreading clump of foliage.  The leaves are narrow, sword shaped and arching.  They are blue-green in color, taking on a purple or reddish tint in colder climates.  The flowers grow on tall stalks that grow up to 4 to 6 feet in height.  The flowers are tubular in shape, with a vivid reddish-pink color.  They bloom early to mid-summer, with occasional bloom thereafter.  Red Yucca is great for attracting butterflies and hummingbirds.
