General Information

Henry Eilers Coneflower is a perennial plant. It is a taller plant, up to 5 feet tall. This plant will have an upright overall form, with a good deal of ornamental appeal. The foliage will be darker grey-green in color, with a light fragrance. It will generally grow in a lower clump, with leaves extending up the stems. The flowers of the Henry Eilers Coneflower will bloom in clusters in the mid to late summer. The flowers are bright yellow with interesting narrow petals. It has a brown center seed cone.

Rudbeckia subtomentosa ‘Henry Eilers’ will be 3 to 5 feet tall, with a width of 18 to 24 inches. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 8. Henry Eilers Coneflower will grow well in full sunlight conditions. It will do well with average amounts of moisture in well draining soils. Good drought tolerance once established.
