General Information
Fire Light Hydrangea is a delightful ornamental shrub. Great in shrub borders, foundation plantings and a variety of other landscaping areas. This shrub is of moderate size, growing in an overall upright fashion. The foliage is oval in shape, dark green in color and keeps a nice appearance all through the growing season. The individual flowers are small, but grow in large clusters in abundance on this shrub. The flowers emerge white, transitioning to pink, before maturing to a pinkish-red. The flowers bloom from mid summer into the early fall. These flowers are great in cut or dried flower arrangements.
Additional Information
Hydrangea paniculata ‘SMHPFL’ grows to a height of 5 to 6 feet, with a similar spread. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 3 to 8. It tends to grow best in full sunlight. Fire Light does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
