Catlin’s Giant Bugleweed
General Information
Catlin’s Giant Bugleweed is an excellent, fast growing ground cover. It features rosettes of large, bronze-green and purple leaves with upright spikes of small blue flowers that emerge in Spring. Catlin’s Giant is primarily grown for its attractive foliage. Plant it under trees where your lawn refuses to grow. It will help choke out weeds under shrubs, and is a great choice for rock beds and to help control erosion on slopes. This plant is fast growing and should be planted only where mass ground cover is desired. It should not be planted along lawns, where the young shoots will spread.
