General Information
Royal Candles Speedwell is a great plant that can fit well into different areas of your landscape. This is a shorter perennial, growing to 12 inches in height. This plant looks great in flower beds, borders, in rock gardens and would be wonderful as a mass planting. It is a upright clump forming perennial, with beautiful flowers rising above bushy foliage. The leaves are long and elliptical in shape, with serrated edges. The green leaves provide a great backdrop for the flowers above. The flower spikes can be up to 12 inches in length, wider at the bottom and tapering off towards the top. The flowers bloom from mid to late summer in a striking bluish-purple color.

Veronica spicata ‘Royal Candles’ grows to a height of 15 to 18 inches, with a spread of 12 to 15 inches. It is recommended for climate zones 4 to 8. It grows best in full sunlight. Royal Candles grows best in well drained soils, with consistently average moisture levels. Flower spikes should removed after they are done to encourage further blooming. It is not known to have any disease or insect issues.
