Very Fine Wine Weigela is an deciduous shrub. This is more of a size controlled weigela, reaching 3 feet tall. It will have rounded overall form, with a great deal of ornamental appeal. Very Fine Wine Weigela would be a great choice for a variety of landscaping areas. It will have very nice dark purple to near black foliage. This will provide a very nice contrast to the flowers. The trumpet shaped flowers will bloom in abundance beginning in the springtime. Very Fine Wine Weigela has beautiful bright pink flowers. They are quite attractive to hummingbirds!
Additional Information
Weigela florida ‘SMNWFDFPD’ will be 2 to 3 feet tall, with a similar width. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 8. Very Fine Wine Weigela will grow and flower best in full sunlight conditions. It will do well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
