Purple De Oro Daylily is a perennial plant. It is moderate in size, reaching up to 2 feet tall. It has a nice upright form, with great ornamental appeal. It is a great plant for a variety of landscaping areas. The leaves are narrow and arching, deep green in color. It will keep a nice appearance through the growing seasons. The flowers bloom in abundance through the summer. The flowers are purplish-red in color, with a yellow throat.

Hemerocallis ‘Purple de Oro’ will be 18 to 24 inches tall, with a similar spread. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 3 to 9. Purple De Oro Daylily tends to grow best in full sunlight. It does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
