General Information

KC Stagecoach Post Oak is a great tree for your landscape.  This is a larger size tree, maturing at about 60 feet tall.  It is a slow growing tree, with a rounded canopy.  This tree originated in Northeastern Kansas, and has great hardiness characteristics.  The original tree is over 300 years old and was the site of a frontier times stagecoach attack.  Very attractive, thick, waxy deep green leaves in the growing season, turning a muted yellow to brown in the fall.  Acorns may take a while to be produced, but can be a very important source of food for wildlife.
