General Information
KC Feeder Station Bur Oak is a great tree for your landscape. It is a large tree, growing to 60 feet in height. This tree originated in Northeast Kansas, so it has great hardiness qualities and has been observed to withstand all types of weather conditions. The leaves on the tree are large, multi-lobed and thick in texture. They are dark green in the growing season, brown in the fall. Many bur oak trees can take up to 30 years to bear acorns. Feeder Station has been seen to produce upwards of 20 years earlier. These acorns are a great source of food for many different animals. Develops rough, corky bark with age.
Additional Information
Quercus macrocarpa ‘Festaz’ grows to a height of 50 to 60 feet, with a similar spread. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 8. It tends to grow best in full sunlight. KC Feeder Station does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
