Description

Burbank July Elberta Peach

General Information

Burbank July Elberta Peach is a great tree and would be a perfect addition to your home orchard.  Nice deep green foliage with a glossy appearance gives season long appeal to the tree.  In the springtime, the tree is covered in fragrant, deep pink flowers.  After the flowers, large freestone peaches develop.  The peaches have a yellow base color, maturing to a orange-red.  The fruit is golden-yellow and sweet, with a small pit.  It ripens in late July.  The tree is self-pollinating, but can benefit from having some other nearby pollinators.

Additional Information

Prunus persica ‘July Elberta’ grows to a height of 12 to 15 feet, with a similar spread.  It is recommended for climate zones 5 to 9.  It grows best in full sunlight. Burbank July Elberta Peach does best in loamy, well drained soils with at least average amounts of moisture.
