BloomStruck Hydrangea is part of the Endless Summer collection. It was bred by Dr. Michael Dirr of Plant Introductions, Inc. The Bloomstruck™ Hydrangea forms a neat mound of dark green foliage. Rose-pink, violet or blue flower heads grow 3.5-5″ across. Change the color by changing the pH level of your soil. Acidic soil increases blue tones in the blooms. Enjoy the beautiful blooms all summer long. Strong, beautiful red-purple stems add a beautiful contrast to the outstanding flowers. Bloomstruck Hydrangea blooms on old and new wood and provides an endless summer of blooms! The flowers begin to bloom in the spring and will continue if the spent flowers are cut off. Reddish purple fall foliage. Very hardy variety! Great for a specimen or accent plant.
Hydrangea macrophylla ‘PIIHM-II’ does best in Full to Part Sun. It will grow 3-4′ across with a spread of 4-5′. Plant in zones 4 to 9. Attracts butterflies. Heat tolerant.
