General Information

Sonic Bloom Pearl Weigela is a great plant that could fit well in many different areas of your landscape.  It is a moderate sized plant, to five feet tall and wide.  It grows as a multi-stemmed shrub, with an overall rounded form.  This plant is perfect for use in a shrub border, along walkways, as an accent plant in a landscaped area or great visual effect in a mass planting.  The flowers are trumpet to funnel shaped and about 1 to 2 inches long.  They open to a white colored flower, with yellow shades in the throat, transitioning to a light pink over time.  The plant has an abundance of blooms starting mid-spring and reblooming all the way until frost.  The combination of new white flowers and older pink flowers gives this shrub a great look.  The leaves are nice as well.  They are oval in shape, with serrated edges and a good dark green color, after emerging with a copper-green color in the spring.

Additional Information

Weigela florida 'Bokrasopea' grows to a height of 4 to 5 feet, with a similar spread.  It is recommended for climate zones 4 to 8.  It can grow in full to partial sunlight.  Sonic Bloom Pearl grows best in well drained soils with moderate amounts of moisture.  This plant is tolerant of pollution.  Hummingbirds are very attracted to the flowers.

We treat your plant

like it's ours

  • Before your plant leaves our greenhouse, it’s wrapped and supported to handle the journey ahead. Pots are sealed to prevent spills, plants are gently netted and staked for stability, and boxes are packed with biodegradable peanuts to absorb movement along the way. Thoughtful packaging helps your plant arrive happy, healthy, and ready to grow.

When your plant
arrives

  • Plants may show signs of stress after shipping, such as bent stems or drooping leaves. This is normal. Prompt unpacking, proper watering, and a short recovery period in the shade help plants rebound quickly. Avoid heavy pruning and give your plant time to adjust as it establishes in your landscape.
