General Information
Vanilla Spice Summersweet is a deciduous shrub. It will have an upright form, with a great deal of ornamental appeal. This shrub will be a great choice for a variety of landscaping areas. The leaves are dark green in color, with a glossy appearance. They will give the plant a nice look all through the growing seasons. The flowers of the Vanilla Spice Summersweet will bloom beginning mid summer. The bottlebrush flowers will be bright white in color, with a wonderful fragrance. They are great for attracting butterflies and hummingbirds!
Additional Information
Clethra alnifolia ‘Caleb’ will be 3 to 6 feet tall, with a width of 3 to 5 feet. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 9. Vanilla Spice Summersweet can grow well in full to partial sunlight conditions. It will do well with average amounts of moisture in well draining soils.
