General Information

Todo Sunjoy Barberry is a deciduous shrub.  It is smaller in size, growing two feet tall and wide.  This size and ornamental appeal make this the perfect plant for a variety of landscaping areas.  This barberry has the added benefit of being sterile, keeping it from being invasive.  It has yellow spring flowers, with red berries that have no seed, keeping it from spreading.  The foliage emerges very deep reddish-purple in the spring, maturing to deep green tinted purple.  The plant keeps a full appearance through the growing seasons, with colorful new foliage emerging during the year. 

Additional Information

Berberis x ‘NCBX1’ grows to a height of 18 to 24 inches, with a similar spread.  It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 8.  Todo Sunjoy Barberry tends to grow best in full sunlight.  It does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
