Description

Sunshine Blue II Caryopteris

General Information

Sunshine Blue II Caryopteris is a very nice plant that would look great in your landscape.  It has improved hardiness over many other caryopteris varieties, giving people in colder climates the chance to plant this shrub.  Beautiful greenish-yellow foliage.  The leaves are oval in shape and ridged.  Large clusters of lavender-blue flowers.  These flowers begin to bloom in the late summer lasting into the early fall time.  The combination of the foliage and flowers provides great color interest all growing season long.  Great plant for attracting pollinators.

Additional Information

Caryopteris incana ‘SMNCVH’ grows to a height of 2 to 3 feet, with a similar overall spread.  It is recommended for climate zones 5 to 9.  It does best in full sunlight.  Sunshine Blue II does best in well drained soils with at least average amounts of moisture.  Has a good amount of heat and drought tolerance.
