General Information
Tiger Eyes Sumac is a great variation of the common sumac. It features striking yellow foliage that is a stunning addition to the landscape. New leaves emerge chartruese-green, and change to a brilliant golden yellow as they mature. Foliage may take on scarlet, orange coloring in the fall. There are very small, insignificant yellow-green flowers early in the summer. Makes a wonderful dense shrub or hedge. Will colonize by suckers, but is not generally aggressive as are others of the species. Great as a hedge or accent plant.
Additional Information

We treat your plant
like it's ours
- Before your plant leaves our greenhouse, it’s wrapped and supported to handle the journey ahead. Pots are sealed to prevent spills, plants are gently netted and staked for stability, and boxes are packed with biodegradable peanuts to absorb movement along the way. Thoughtful packaging helps your plant arrive happy, healthy, and ready to grow.
When your plant
arrives
- Plants may show signs of stress after shipping, such as bent stems or drooping leaves. This is normal. Prompt unpacking, proper watering, and a short recovery period in the shade help plants rebound quickly. Avoid heavy pruning and give your plant time to adjust as it establishes in your landscape.
