Straight Talk Privet
General Information
Straight Talk Privet is a deciduous shrub. It can grow to be quite tall, at 12 feet tall. It will grow in an upright, narrow growing and dense overall fashion. This privet is a great choice for a very ornamental hedge or for a variety of other landscaping purposes. The leaves are oval in shape, with a glossy appearance. They are a very attractive dark green throughout the growing seasons. Straight Talk Privet has small, fragrant white flowers from late spring to early summer. Berries will form after the flowers, maturing to bluish-black in the fall.
Additional Information
Ligustrum vulgare ‘Swift’ reaches a height of 10 to 12 feet, with a spread of 2 to 4 feet. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 8. Straight Talk Privet can grow well in full to partial sunlight conditions. It does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
