Midnight Velvet Sedum is a perennial plant. This is a tall sedum, reaching about two feet tall. It will have a good deal of ornamental appeal, making it a great choice for a variety of landscaping areas. Midnight Velvet Sedum will form as nice mound of foliage, with flowers held above. The leaves will be a very attractive deep purple in color. The flowers bloom later summer in great abundance. They are a very nice rosy-red in color. The seed pods that follow are dark red. The flowers of the Midnight Velvet Sedum will be very attractive to bees and butterflies!

Sedum 'Midnight Velvet' will be 22 to 26 Inches tall, with a width of 30 to 32 inches. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 3 to 9. Midnight Velvet Sedum will perform best when planted in full sunlight conditions. It will do well with average to lower amounts of moisture in well draining soils.
