General Information

Clouds of  lavender-blue flowers appear late summer to fall. These aromatic flowers grow in clusters on the tall, airy spikes.  It is a vigorous, heat loving plant. Use in borders, large containers or in mass plantings. 1995 Perennial Plant of the Year. Great for cut or dried flower arrangements. Add a splash of color to your landscape that will last all summer long.

Additional Information

Perovskia atriplicifolia grows best in Full Sun. It will grow 3-5′ tall with a similar spread. Plant in zones 4 to 9. Deer resistant. Attracts butterflies. Drought tolerant once established.

Care & Shipping Notes

Easy to grow in average, well drained soil. Will tolerate a wide variety of soil types and moisture levels. No serious insect or disease problems. Can be trimmed back to 6-8″ in early spring before new growth appears. Can be divided every 4-6 years as needed. Remove runners to prevent spreading. NOT AVAILABLE FOR SALE IN THESE US STATES AND TERRITORIES: AK, HI, GM, PR, VI. Also, WE NO LONGER SHIP TO CALIFORNIA due to Department of Ag restrictions on live plants.
