General Information
Purple One Ornamental Onion is a perennial plant. It is moderate in size, reaching up to 15 inches tall. This perennial will grow in an upright fashion, with flowers held above the foliage. It is a very nice choice for a variety of landscaping areas. The leaves are very narrow, growing in a clump forming fashion. They are a very attractive deep green to bluish-green in color. The rounded flower clusters bloom in abundance from late spring into the summer. They are a nice violet-purple in color.

Allium schoenoprasum ‘Purple One’ will be 12 to 15 inches tall, with a similar spread. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 3 to 9. Purple One Ornamental Onion will tend to do best when planted in full sun conditions. It does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
