General Information
Plumosa Compact Juniper is an evergreen shrub. It is a lower growing groundcover shrub, reaching 2 feet in height. It compact, well branched overall growth habit. This shrub has a good deal of utility in a variety of landscaping areas. Plumosa Compact does well in rocky areas, along rock walls, used in erosion control on slopes and a variety of other areas. It has scale-like mature foliage, and more needle like when emerging. The foliage is blue-green in color, with a bit of a purple tint in the colder months.
Additional Information
Juniperus horizontalis ‘Plumosa Compacta’ grows to a height of 18 to 24 inches, with a spread of 4 to 6 feet. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 3 to 9. Plumosa Compact grows best in full sunlight conditions. It does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
