General Information
One in a Melon Coneflower is a perennial plant. This plant will have a nice clump of foliage, with flowers held on stems above. It will be a great plant for a variety of landscaping areas. The leaves are dark green in color, providing the plant with a nice appearance through the growing seasons. The large flowers, up to 5 inches wide, bloom in abundance from midsummer to early fall. The flowers are orangish-yellow in color, with an orange-brown center cone. If the cones are left standing, they can provide a nice seed source for birds in the winter. One in a Melon Coneflower is a great pollinator attractor!

Echinacea ‘One in a Melon’ will be 24 to 26 inches tall, with a width of 18 to 20 inches. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 8. One in a Melon Coneflower can grow in full to partial sunlight conditions. It will do well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils. Once established, it can have good drought tolerance.
