General Information
New Blue Tamarix Juniper is an evergreen shrub. It is a great choice for a variety of landscaping areas. It is perfect on sloping areas and once established, it is quite drought resistant. This a lower growing and generally spreading shrub. The branches have an interesting appearance, growing in a largely horizontal habit. The evergreen foliage is somewhat prickly, with a nice blue-green color. It may take on a slightly brownish tone in harsher winters.

Juniperus sabina var. tamariscifolia ‘New Blue’ reaches a height of 18 to 24 inches, with a spread of 8 to 10 feet. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 3 to 7. New Blue tends to do best in full sunlight conditions. It is well with average to low amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
