Monge Lilac
General Information
Monge Lilac is a flowering deciduous shrub. It can be a lilac of larger size, reaching 12 feet tall and wide. This shrub would be a great plant for a variety of different landscaping areas. The foliage will be deep green in color, keeping a nice look throughout the growing season. The Monge Lilac will have abundant large clusters of flowers beginning in the mid to late spring. The clusters are up to 9 inches long, with a beautiful reddish-purple color. These flowers will have a wonderful fragrance!
Additional Information
Syringa vulgaris ‘Monge’ will be 10 to 12 feet tall, with a width of 8 to 12 feet. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 3 to 7. Monge Lilac will grow well in full sunlight conditions. It will do well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
