Mohican Viburnum

General Information

Mohican Viburnum is a deciduous shrub.  It is on the larger side, growing up to 8 feet tall.  It is a multi-stemmed shrub, dense and rounded in an overall growth habit.  Mohican Viburnum is great for a number of landscaping areas.  The leaves are leathery, slightly rough to the touch.  They are dark green in color in the spring and summer, burgundy tinted in the fall.  Abundant flower clusters in the springtime.  The flowers are pure white in color.  Following the flowers are berries, ripening to reddish-orange in the summertime.  The fruits are attractive to birds.

Additional Information

Viburnum lantana ‘Mohican’ grows to a height of 7 to 8 feet, with a spread of 7 to 10 feet. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 8. Mohican can grow in full to part sunlight conditions. It does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
