Millenium Ornamental Onion

General Information

Millenium Ornamental Onion is a delightful perennial plant, perfect for a variety of landscaping areas.  It forms as an upright clump of foliage, with flowers held above.  The leaves are glossy, narrow and thick, dark green in color.  The flowers bloom in abundance from July to August.  The individual flowers are small, blooming in 2 inch wide clusters.  They have a very nice pinkish-purple color.  Quite attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds!

Additional Information

Allium ‘Millenium’ grows to a height of 15 to 20 inches, with a spread of 10 to 15 inches.  It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 8.  Millenium can grow in full to partial sunlight.  It tends to grow best with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
