General Information

May Night Salvia was the 1997 Perennial Plant Association Plant of the Year!  It will be a top performer in your landscape.  May Night is a long blooming, clump forming plant. Dense spikes of deep violet-purple flowers cover the plant in Summer.  Use May Night Salvia to add color to your containers, beds and borders. Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. Deer and rabbit resistant.

Additional Information

Salvia nemorosa ‘Mainacht’ grows best in Full Sun.  It can grow 15-18″ tall with a similar spread.  Plant in zones 3 to 8.  The crushed leaves of May Night Salvia are aromatic. Salvia are members of the mint family.  It is drought tolerant, but will bloom better with regular watering.  Excellent as a cut flower, fresh or dried.

Care & Shipping Notes

Plant in well drained soil. Deadheading encourages a longer bloom time. Cut back to new foliage if plant gets leggy. There are few pests or diseases.    NOT AVAILABLE FOR SALE IN THESE US STATES AND TERRITORIES: AK, HI, GM, PR, VI. Also, WE NO LONGER SHIP TO CALIFORNIA due to Department of Ag restrictions on live plants.
