General Information

Little Henry Sweetspire is a popular landscape shrub! It is a dwarf form of ‘Henry’s Garnet’ that is a low mounded compact shrub with sweet-smelling pure white flowers that bloom in late spring to early summer. In the fall, it turns wildfire and retains its colorful foliage throughout the winter. The Little Henry Sweetspire is perfect for banks and beds. This native plant is excellent for woodland gardens. Plant in mass for an attractive border.

Additional Information

Itea virginica ‘Sprich’ grows best in Full to Part Sun. It will grow 2 to 3 feet tall, with a similar spread. Plant in zones 5 to 9. Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. Deer and rabbit resistant.

Care & Shipping Notes

Easy to grow in average to moist soil. Prefers slightly acidic soil. Be sure to water it regularly. No serious insect or disease problems. Trim in early spring to shape and again after it blooms.
