Kelsey Dwarf Dogwood

General Information

This dwarf form of the red-stemmed dogwood forms a compact, mounded bush.  Clusters of small, white flowers bloom in spring.  After blooming, berries emerge that attract winter birds. Fall foliage is somewhat yellow. Kelsey Dwarf should be protected from the afternoon sun.  Red twigs provide great winter interest. Great for groundcover.  Plant in mass plantings in wet or low areas.

Additional Information

Cornus sericea ‘Kelseyi’ grows best in Full to Part Sun. It will grow 2-3’ tall with a similar spread.  Plant in zones 4 to 8.  Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds.

Care & Shipping Notes

Easy to grow in average, well drained soil. Prefers moist soil.  Fertilize in the fall with Tree & Shrub fertilizer. Trim out dead or damaged canes after spring flowering.  Prune in spring to maintain tidy habit.  In areas with high heat and humidity, the shrub may develop canker.  No serious insect or disease problems.  NOT AVAILABLE FOR SALE IN THESE US STATES AND TERRITORIES: AK, HI, GM, PR, VI
