Ha Ha Tonka Little Bluestem
General Information
Ha Ha Tonka Little Bluestem is an ornamental grass. This grass will have an overall upright form, with great visual appeal. It would be a great choice for a variety of landscaping spaces. The leaves will be blue-green in color, taking on red, orange and gray accents. They will have small, dense ‘hairs’ on the stems, giving a very interesting look to this little bluestem. It will have later summer flowers, turning to tan seed heads in the fall.
Additional Information
Schizachyrium scoparium ‘Ha Ha Tonka’ will be 2 to 4 feet tall, with a width of 2 to 3 feet. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 5 to 10. Ha Ha Tonka Little Bluestem will grow well in full sunlight conditions. It will do well with average amounts of moisture in a variety of soil conditions. Once established, it will good drought tolerance.
