Green Mound Currant
General Information
Green Mound Currant is a deciduous shrub. It is compact in size, reaching 3 feet tall and wide. This plant will be a nice choice as a low hedge or accent plant in a variety of landscape settings. Green Mound Currant will have have small greenish-yellow flowers in the spring. This is a male cultivar and will not produce any fruits. The foliage will be a very deep green in color. It grows nice and densely, providing the plant with an attractive look through the growing seasons.
Additional Information
Ribes alpinum ‘Green Mound’ will be 2 to 3 feet tall, with a similar width. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 2 to 7. Green Mound Currant can grow in full to part sun conditions. It will do well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
