General Information

Fireworks Goldenrod is a late season bloomer that will be the center piece of your landscape in the fall.  The stems of the plant grow in an upright fashion.  They bear narrow to oval leaves growing opposite one another up the stem.  The tiny yellow flowers grow towards the end of the stalk in dense clusters.  The composition of the flowers and the way in which the stems shoot out, gives it the look of fireworks shooting out from the plant.  The September to October bloom period for this plant gives it great bloom interest when many other plants are without their flowers.

Additional Information

Solidago rugosa 'Fireworks' grows to a height of 3 to 4 feet and a width of 30 to 36 inches.  The plant is recommended for climate zones 4 to 8.  Grows best in well drained, average to wet, soil. Removing dead flower clusters will encourage additional blooms.  Fireworks Goldenrod is attractive to butterflies and bees.  Can be divided every few years to control additional spread.

We treat your plant

like it's ours

  • Before your plant leaves our greenhouse, it’s wrapped and supported to handle the journey ahead. Pots are sealed to prevent spills, plants are gently netted and staked for stability, and boxes are packed with biodegradable peanuts to absorb movement along the way. Thoughtful packaging helps your plant arrive happy, healthy, and ready to grow.

When your plant
arrives

  • Plants may show signs of stress after shipping, such as bent stems or drooping leaves. This is normal. Prompt unpacking, proper watering, and a short recovery period in the shade help plants rebound quickly. Avoid heavy pruning and give your plant time to adjust as it establishes in your landscape.
