Plant your Autumn Brilliance Fern in Part Sun to enjoy the best coloring. In the fall, bright red sori are produced. Ever changing foliage is eye-catching in every season. Adds great color and texture to your landscape. Common name: Japanese shield fern. This popular fern is beautiful as an accent plant and can be used in containers or in landscape plantings. Dryopteris erythrosora 'Brilliance' grows best in Part to Full Shade. It will grow 18 to 24 inches tall with width of 12 to 18 inches. Plant in zones 5 to 8. Drought tolerant once established. Heat and humidity tolerant. Deer and rabbit resistant. Spreads by rhizomes. Great low maintenance plant!
