General Information
Lemon Meringue False Indigo grows on long dark grey to green stems. The stems are covered in blue-green foliage, creating a mounded appearance. Tends to grow in a vigourous fashion. Blue-violet flower buds open to bright yellow flowers that cover the upper part of the stems. The flowers of the Lemon Meringue False Indigo appear late spring to early summer.

Baptisia 'Lemon Meringue' grows 2.5 to 3 Feet tall and wide. It grows best in full sun, but can tolerate a little shade. It is recommended for climate zones 4 to 9. Average, well drained soil is needed. Becomes somewhat drought tolerant once established. Beautiful flowers are great for both flower and dried flower arrangements. Attracts Butterflies. Compact growing habit makes it great in containers and other small spaces. No deadheading required for this plant.
