Dwarf European Cranberry Viburnum

General Information

Dwarf European Cranberry Viburnum features dense, mounded habit.  It is a dwarf form of Viburnum opulus.  This dwarf cranberry bush does not bloom. The 3-lobbed, maple like, green leaves turn an attractive burgundy color in fall. This great bush maintains is compact habit and requires no trimming.  Use in foundation plantings or as a low hedge.  Great shrub with low maintenance!

Additional Information

Viburnum opulus ‘Compactum’ grows best in Full Sun to Light Shade.  It will tolerate wet, heavy soil.  Compactum grows 4 to 6 feet tall with a spread of 4 to 6 feet.  Plant in zones 4 to 8.

Care & Shipping Notes

Easy to grow in average, well drained soil.  Prefers moist soil, but good drainage is key. No serious insect or disease problems.  Leaf spot may occur in wet, humid climates. Crown gall may also be a problem.   NOT AVAILABLE FOR SALE IN THESE US STATES AND TERRITORIES: AK, HI, GM, PR, VI. Also, WE NO LONGER SHIP TO CALIFORNIA due to Department of Ag restrictions on live plants.
