Description

Double Pink Bloom-A-Thon Azalea

General Information

Double Pink Bloom-A-Thon Azalea is a semi-evergreen shrub. It will only do well in southern areas of the country, in zones 7 to 9. It provides a great burst of color in partially shade to filtered sunlight areas in the landscape. This shrub will retain leaves toward the end of the branches. The leaves are a very attractive dark green, providing a great backdrop for the flowers. The flowers are large and abundant, with a very attractive bright pink color. This is a reblooming azalea, beginning in April. They then begin to bloom again in the summer, continuing to frost in the fall.

Additional Information

Rhododendron x ‘RLH1-2P8’ grows to a height of 3 to 4 feet, with a similar spread. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 7 to 9. This shrub does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils. It tends to do best when planted in partial shade.
